Silver medal, Hunters' Improvement Society

Hallmarked silver medal in presentation case, awarded by the Hunters' Improvement and National Light Horse Breeding Society. The medal is complete with original red leather presentation case provided by Mappin and Webb, as presented at Abergavenny show, dated 1935.

The front of the medal shows a horse of quality hunter type, with on the reverse a horse with two handlers, possibly a copy of an C18th painting by Stubbs.
